The Guides provide daily walking tours of the Bailey of the Castle for joint ticket holder visitors lasting approximately 60 minutes.
These tours explore the three themes of the Castles history - Defence, Administration and Justice and you'll hear stories of:-

• Who built the Castle and why.
• Its' construction and defensive features.
• The Castles' Strategic importance in Norman and Medieval times and subsequent decline.
• Two major medieval battles in Lincoln linked with the Castle.
• People who have influenced its history.

Tour times vary depending on the season as follows:
April to September, inclusive:
11:00 - 12:00 Noon - 13:30 and 14:30
October and March
11:00 - 12:30 and 13:30
Winter - November to March, inclusive
11:00 and 13:30

Please note there are NO tours on Christmas Day, Boxing and on specific dates when Lincoln Castle holds special events and festivals.

I addition to the regular daily tours the Castle Guides also provide Private Group tours for individuals, organisations, Companies and Specialist Interest Groups. These tours can be themed to reflect some specialist interests such as Magna Carta and the 2nd Battle of Lincoln or any other specific interest.
